The jungler will play in a major league for the first time in his career after a year with Rainbow7 that saw him compete in the 2020 World Championship. Josedeodo managed to make a name for himself at the tournament, establishing himself as an exceptional individual talent.
Josedeodo will now get the chance to prove himself as a worthy import in FlyQuest’s jungle after the team had a phenomenal 2020 season. FlyQuest reached the finals in both 2020 LCS splits and made it to Worlds as the LCS's second seed. FlyQuest lost both LCS finals and was knocked out of the Worlds group stage, but it was still a transformative year for the organization.
Going into the 2021 season, FlyQuest has completed a number of roster moves, but adding Josedeodo is easily the most hyped of them all. After losing players such as jungler Lucas “Santorin” Larsen and mid laner Tristan “PowerOfEvil” Schrage to other teams, it looked like FlyQuest would struggle in the upcoming season but that doesn’t look to be the case. FlyQuest has now pulled a rabbit out of the hat and built a very solid team. Josedeodo is currently the only player confirmed, but he will likely play alongside former Cloud9 top laner Eric “Licorice” Ritchie and young talents like mid laner Cristian “Palafox” Palafox and support David “Diamond” Bérubé who also have a past under the Cloud9 banner.
LCS teams have been importing players for many years, but it’s a rare sight to see a Latin American player on the big LCS stage. Josedeodo will be one of the few imports from Latin America in LCS history and will not only represent FlyQuest, but also his old region.
Players such as Diego “Quas” Ruiz and Alberto “Crumbz” Rengifo also have a past in the LCS, but weren't imported in the same way as Josedeodo. This makes Josedeodo a unique case in the LCS and there will be many eyes on him in the upcoming 2021 LCS Spring Split.
Josedeodo will play his first match for FlyQuest when the LCS kicks off at the start of 2021.
Josedeodo is from Argentina and played in the Latin America League for three splits before joining FlyQuest in the LCS. Josedeodo only played on three teams prior to FlyQuest, making him an inexperienced player that can improve his skills a lot in the best North American league.
Josedeodo is a jungler, which automatically gives him a lot of responsibilities on the map. His job is to keep track of the enemy jungler, while trying to get his lanes ahead by ganking or helping them out when needed. He proved at the 2020 World Championship that he is a very individually skilled jungler, and can become a top star with the right guidance.
